Dr Averil Tse.
Dr Averil Tse undertook her undergraduate dental training at the University of Otago, New Zealand, graduating with Distinction in 2001. Averil then took up a position as a Dental House Surgeon at Auckland and Middlemore Hospitals in New Zealand, before entering private general practice. Averil came to Melbourne to commence her specialist training in Endodontics at the University of Melbourne, graduating with a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in 2009. Averil works in specialist private practice in the Melbourne CBD.
Averil is also involved in lecturing and clinical teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate dental students at the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University in Bendigo. Averil lectures on various topics, including the diagnosis and management of cracked teeth, avoidance and repair of perforations, and initial trauma triage and management, at continuing education courses and meetings nationally. Averil has a particular interest in the management of traumatic dental injuries and cracked teeth.
Averil is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists (ANZAE). Averil also currently serves on the committee of the Australian Society of Endodotology (VIC Branch), having recently completed terms as the Secretary/Treasurer and President of the Society.
